People Operations Lead
9Fin – Belfast

About 9fin

9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion.

Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets.

Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.

We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide.

The role

We're looking for a People Operations Lead to set the standard for how People Ops runs in Belfast, and to own the workplace experience in our Belfast office. You'll be the senior specialist responsible for compliance, policy, process design and strategic projects, and the person who makes sure the Belfast team has a workplace that supports how they do their best work.

This is a senior individual contributor role not a people manager. You'll report to the People Operations Manager and partner closely with our London People Operations Lead, London Workplace Manager, and with Talent, People Partners, Legal and Finance. You'll set the standard for operational excellence across the team and be the People and Workplace face of 9fin in Belfast.

What you'll own

  • Operational excellence in Belfast: Own the day-to-day running of People Operations for our Belfast population. Set the bar for accuracy, timeliness and employee experience across the full lifecycle - joiners, leavers, changes, probation, right-to-work, background screening, leave and absence.

  • Compliance & audit-readiness: Keep 9fin compliant with UK employment law, statutory requirements and internal audit standards. Maintain audit-ready records, run periodic control checks, and flag risks early. Partner with Legal to interpret and apply changes in employment law.

  • Policy & handbook: Own the Northern Ireland policy set - the NI-specific policies, handbook annexes and local variations that reflect how employment law and practice differ here. Contribute to the wider UK handbook alongside the London Lead, and make sure Belfast-specific guidance is clear, current and used.

  • Strategic project leadership: Own one or two of the biggest People Ops projects each cycle end-to-end - scoping the problem, aligning stakeholders, delivering the work, and measuring the impact. Think workplace improvements, early careers outreach, benefits redesign.

  • Workflows & automations: Design and build the workflows and automations that reduce manual work across the lifecycle. Identify what should be templated, what should be automated, and what should be redesigned entirely. Ship the improved version.

  • Belfast workplace ownership: Own the workplace experience in the Belfast office end-to-end - office operations, facilities and supplier relationships, health and safety, in-office events, hybrid working experience, and joiner day one logistics. Partner with the London Workplace Manager on standards, budget and consistency across offices.

  • Complex casework: Working closely with the People Partners, handling the trickiest Belfast people situations - complex leave, contract variations, sensitive investigations support - with strong judgment on risk, employee experience and commercial context.

  • People data & insight: Build the reporting and dashboards leadership actually uses. Present operational recommendations backed by data to the People Operations Manager, Head of People and wider business.

  • Budget partnership: Support the People Operations Manager on Belfast sub-team budget - scoping future spend, analysing current spend, articulating ROI, and making recommendations.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in People Operations / HR Operations in a scaling company, with meaningful ownership of both process design and hands-on delivery.

  • Deep working knowledge of UK employment law and compliance - you're the person others check with before making a call.

  • Strong track record of writing and rolling out policies that hold up in practice.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead People Ops projects end-to-end - scoping, stakeholder alignment, delivery, measurement.

  • Comfort designing workflows and automations that meaningfully reduce manual work.

  • Experience owning workplace, office or facilities operations - or a clear appetite to add this to your remit and do it well.

  • Exceptional attention to detail. You catch the thing others miss, and you build systems that catch it next time.

  • Comfortable being the "go-to" person: briefs seniors, unblocks peers, and represents the People and Workplace function credibly in cross-functional forums.

  • Bias to build: you would rather design the process than inherit one.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience at a scaling fintech, capital markets business, or high-growth B2B SaaS.

  • Familiarity with SOC 2 / ISO People-related controls and audit prep.

  • Experience building automations across the People Tech stack, including the HRIS.

  • Prior workplace, facilities, health and safety, or office management experience.

What success looks like in your first 12 months

  • Belfast operations run predictably and to a high standard, with clean handoffs across Finance, IT and Workplace.

  • Compliance is demonstrably audit-ready; the handbook and policy set are current, well-drafted, and used.

  • At least two major strategic project shipped end-to-end.

  • Workflows and automations have visibly reduced manual work across the lifecycle.

  • The Belfast office runs smoothly - the team notices the workplace, in a good way.

  • You're the person the business escalates the hard Belfast people-ops questions to - and the answers hold up.

Our benefits

We’re a scaling start up, and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel.

  • Professional learning and development budget

This is a great opportunity to shape the future of a product at a company that's using tech to revolutionise the trillion-dollar debt capital market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Communication: Ensure all people involved are aware of the team's strategy, initiatives, and progress. You must be able to effectively communicate complicated technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and complicated financial markets concepts to a technical audience.

  • Influence: Build strong relationships to empower the squad to achieve the desired outcome, often by influencing stakeholders outside of your team.

  • Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders to gather the right input and insights, ensuring they have the information to effectively represent the product team within their own areas.

About You

This role will be a great fit if you:

  • You are an experienced product manager. You have at least 5 years of product management experience, preferably in the FinTech or B2B SaaS space, and you're eager to build products that leverage AI.

  • You've got a keen interest in AI. You actively use AI in your day-to-day, attend courses, follow industry developments, and attend relevant talks about AI. You are ready to work closely with technical teams to understand different approaches and translate product goals into clear requirements.

  • You're an analytical & strategic thinker. You have an outstanding ability to think on your feet and tackle intellectually challenging problems. You are highly analytical and comfortable using complex data to make decisions. You can define a product vision to solve a genuine customer problem, ensuring the team is always focused on a valuable product.

  • You're a collaborative leader. You have an empathetic leadership style and build strong, effective relationships. You love working autonomously but are able to earn the trust of others with a collaborative style. You are a great prioritiser, not afraid to say no, and excel at managing stakeholders while also being confident in voicing your own opinions and challenging others.

Bioinformatics Software Engineer
Imubiosciences – London

About IMU Biosciences

IMU Biosciences has developed proprietary platform technologies that generate and translate vast system-level immune data into actionable insights and tools to drive the development of precision medicines across a variety of diseases. IMU leverages advanced immune profiling with proprietary AI and machine learning analytics to uncover novel clinical immune signatures. IMU continues to establish partnerships with leading pharma and biotech companies to advance disease diagnosis, optimise product selection, and improve patient stratification and monitoring - while also building its own pipeline of innovative products.

About The Role

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Software Engineer to drive the flow cytometry data engineering infrastructure, annotation pipelines, model registry operations, and code governance for an advanced clinical biomarker discovery platform operating under machine learning industry best practices and Medical Device Machine Learning (MedDev ML) standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for translating high-dimensional flow cytometry data into reproducible, production-grade features compliant with industry best practices and MedDev ML framework requirements. Your key deliverables will include frozen, reproducible feature pipelines and locked model registry artifacts. You will oversee automated cell-type annotation, manage model artifact registries, enforce data integrity, trace compliance, and handle leakage controls across machine learning partitions while leading peer code reviews.

Core Responsibilities

  • Flow Cytometry Data Engineering & Annotation Pipelines: Execute automated cell annotation workflows on large-scale cytometry datasets; generate cell membership files, cell subset ratio tables, and automated outlier quality-control (QC) reports. Apply locked automated gating ensembles across cross-validation and evaluation partitions, tracking and recording per-patient gating exposure metrics. Establish and lock baseline models and numerical stability criteria for flow cytometry feature extraction pipelines.

  • Model Registry & Governance: Manage the formal model lifecycle registry—versioning, freezing, and locking gating ensembles and candidate predictive models in adherence with industry best practices and MedDev ML regulatory frameworks. Refit shortlisted machine learning models on expanded cohorts and execute final model freezing prior to blinded clinical evaluations. Ensure full reproducibility by committing versioned code, pinning environment specifications (Conda/Docker), and logging all random seeds and model hyperparameters.

  • Code Quality, Review & Data Integrity: Serve as a primary code reviewer across the computational pipeline, enforcing strict data leakage controls, data integrity checks, and modular coding standards. Participate in Independent Method Reviews (IMRs), traceability audits, and regulatory compliance verification under industry best practices and MedDev ML guidelines while interfacing closely with Machine Learning Engineers, Bio-statisticians, and Clinical Scientists.

Team and Ways of Working

Embedded in a multidisciplinary team of 4 (ML Engineers, Biostatisticians, and Clinical Scientists) reporting directly to the Lead Data Scientist.

Qualification Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or a related quantitative field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience handling flow cytometry high-throughput data in regulated, academic, or biotech settings.

Technical Must-Haves (Essential Skills)

  • Programming Mastery: Fluent in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch).

  • Software Engineering & Version Control: Proven experience with software engineering best practices: Git version control, CI/CD, workflow managers (Nextflow), environment pinning (Docker), and ML artifact tracking.

  • Cytometry Knowledge: Familiarity with flow cytometry feature generation and batch-effect harmonisation.

  • Familiarity with cross-validation leakage traps in high-dimensional flow cytometry predictive modeling.

Nice-to-Haves (Desirable Skills)

  • Experience working with clinical trial datasets, industry best practices, and MedDev ML regulations.

  • Experience in transplant immunology, oncology, or hematologic malignancies.

Key Competencies

Strong collaboration and communication skills, including documenting computational methods for regulatory audits and effectively communicating technical workflows to clinical scientists and cross-functional teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary and company bonus scheme

  • Pension, health insurance, life assurance, and income protection

  • Fast-paced, collaborative startup culture

  • Strong opportunities for career development and progression

Customer Support Manager
Vitesse – London

We are Vitesse – the treasury and payment partner of choice for insurance.

Your next adventure awaits!

Join the team who are redefining the payments space.

About Us

At Vitesse, we're more than just a payments platform – we're the trusted financial infrastructure connecting the global insurance ecosystem. Tailor-made for insurers, brokers, MGAs, and TPAs, our unified platform optimises claims funds, enables real-time global payments, and delivers full financial control. Our impact is real: over $20 billion in payments across 200+ countries, hundreds of millions returned to insurers’ balance sheets, and counting. We’re licensed in the UK (FCA), Europe (DNB), and New York (NYDFS), with over 260 amazing colleagues worldwide. With $93 million recently raised in Series C funding from KKR, our journey is just beginning, and our ambitions are sky-high.

Headquartered in the heart of London and expanding across Europe and the US, Vitesse is where your ideas power tomorrow’s insurance solutions. Are you ready to make a difference? You're in the right place.

THE CURRENT TEAM AND OUR MISSION

Customer Support at Vitesse is in the middle of a step change. We're moving from a reactive, ticket-led service to one that spots recurring problems, brings client insight into business decisions and helps improve the service at its source. We're investing in AI to handle routine contacts, so our team can spend their time understanding problems properly, speaking to clients directly and fixing root causes. You'll join a small team of six peers with tenure spread across our London and New York offices supporting insurers and their third-party administrators in the movement of claims funds. The work is varied, often urgent, and the clients depend on us getting it right.

You'll have real influence on how this function develops. You'll help train and improve our AI agent, spot the patterns behind client issues, and take the evidence to Product, Engineering and Customer Success. We want people who take ownership, aren't afraid to pick up the phone, and want to make Support a reason clients stay. Your ideas will be heard, and your impact will be visible.

About the Role

We’re building a Customer Support function that is a differentiator, not a ticket queue. Our service is personal and tailored to each client, and we’re investing in AI to handle routine contacts so our team can spend their time on the conversations that matter.

As a Customer Support Manager, you’ll take the time to understand each client’s problem, own it end to end, and pick up the phone when a call will resolve it faster than an email. You’ll work in a team of peers, collaborating with them and with Engineering, Product and Customer Success. You’ll also help train and improve our AI agent, and use what you see in support contacts to make recommendations that improve the business.

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own complex client issues from first contact to resolution, communicating clearly and keeping clients informed throughout

  • Build client relationships through proactive outreach and calls, not only ticket replies

  • Carry out deeper technical triage and work with Engineering to prioritise issues and coordinate incidents

  • Draft clear, accurate incident updates for clients

  • Help train, monitor and improve our AI agent: review its performance, identify gaps, draft knowledge improvements and escalate them to the Customer Support Lead for approval

  • Spot recurring issues and themes, gather the data to support them, and escalate recommendations to Product, Engineering and Customer Success

  • Create and maintain high-quality knowledge base content and documentation

  • Analyse service quality trends and lead small improvement initiatives

  • Share knowledge and consult with peers to keep our service consistent and high quality

  • Run scenario-based sessions that help clients get the most from the platform

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Customer Support, Client Services or a similar B2B customer-facing role

  • Proven examples of spotting a problem, evidencing it with data and escalating it, without being asked

  • Confident speaking with clients directly, including on calls, when issues are complex or sensitive

  • Experience handling escalations and complex queries

  • Experience working with technical or operational teams

  • Comfortable working with AI tools, with experience improving knowledge content

  • Experience with Zendesk or similar support tools is advantageous

  • Hands-on experience with AI agents or chatbots is desirable

  • Regulated sector experience (insurance, financial services) is advantageous but not essential

Skills & Attributes

  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication

  • Takes ownership and sees problems through to resolution

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Sound judgement on prioritisation and knowing when to escalate

  • Collaborative and able to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders

  • Curious and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Senior Product Designer
Haut Ai – Remote

Haut.AI is a pioneering BeautyTech startup at the forefront of personalized skincare solutions. We combine scientific research with artificial intelligence to deliver innovative solutions that actually work. Backed by leading European VCs and founded by AI scientists, we are positioned at the intersection of two explosive growth markets: AI and beauty tech.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the experience of our core product: an AI-powered skin analysis SaaS platform used by beauty brands, retailers, clinics, and wellness and longevity apps.

  • Own end-to-end design for the SaaS platform: discovery, user flows, prototypes and shipped UI.

  • Design the consumer-facing skin analysis experience: capture, results, skin scores and product recommendations. It has to work across web and mobile, and stay customizable for each client’s brand.

  • Turn complex AI and scientific output into interfaces people understand and trust. This includes the moments where the AI is uncertain or needs better input from the user, such as photo quality or lighting.

  • Design the B2B side of the product: client dashboards and analytics, configuration and customization tools, recommendation management, and team access.

  • Make integration easy: work with Engineering on the experience of embedding our solution into client websites and apps.

  • Prototype fast, using AI tools to test ideas with users, clients and engineers before they reach the backlog.

  • Run usability tests and competitive research, and back design decisions with data: product analytics, session recordings, client feedback.

  • Evolve and maintain our design system so the team ships consistently across products and platforms.

What Will Help You Thrive in This Role:

  • 5+ years of hands-on product design experience, with a portfolio of end-to-end work that shipped on web and/or mobile.

  • Experience designing B2B or B2B2C SaaS products, including complex dashboards, admin tools or configurable, white-label experiences.

  • Experience designing AI-powered products, such as AI analysis, recommendation or personalization experiences.

  • Strong command of AI tools in your own work. You use LLMs and AI design or prototyping tools (e.g. Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Cursor, Claude) to research, explore options, prototype and automate routine work, and you can show us what that changed in your output.

  • Product thinking: you define success metrics with the PM, measure the impact of your work, and iterate based on it.

  • Strong written and spoken English: you present your work clearly to both internal teams and clients.

  • Highly autonomous and proactive, with a strong bias for action in fast-paced startup environments.

Why Join Haut.AI?

  • Be part of a pioneering company revolutionizing the BeautyTech space.

  • Work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and user-centered design in beauty, with a talented, forward-thinking team.

  • Make a tangible impact on product development and company growth.

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and skills.

  • Fully remote, with flexibility across UK and EU time zones.

  • Paid PTO.

  • Company-issued MacBook and other equipment.

Please send your CV and portfolio in English.

Talent Acquisition Partner [12 month FTC]
Wayve – London, United Kingdom

Before the detail, here's the challenge you'd help us solve.

We build the embodied intelligence that moves real vehicles safely, and the ecosystem a billion machines will run on in the future. Very few people in AI can say this. Every role here, whatever the team, plugs into that.

Here’s what this particular role covers.

🛠️ About our Talent Acquisition Teams

Wayve’s Talent Acquisition team plays a critical role in our success. We hire the people who build and ship our autonomous driving technology. We’re a diverse team, based across the UK, US and Japan, and we take a sourcing first, quality focused and data-driven approach, acting as true partners to the business.

🧠 Your day-to-day

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for each role - sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing candidates, using Ashby to track your pipeline.

• Proactively source and headhunt candidates rather than relying on inbound applications, balancing depth of engagement for quality hires with the volume each search demands.

• Run regular check-ins and debriefs with hiring managers to keep every search on track.

• Deliver a world-class candidate experience through transparent communication, timely feedback and a seamless interview process.

• Track day-to-day metrics and flag pipeline bottlenecks as they come up.

🧩 What you’ll be working on:

• Owning a portfolio of typically 10-15 concurrent roles spanning software engineering, machine learning, integration and data engineering through to product and program management.

• Educating hiring managers and stakeholders on job profiles and search strategy, so every search starts from a sharp, well-defined brief.

• Using data to make the right calls on where to focus search effort across your portfolio, and continuously improving how we hire based on what that data tells you.

• Advising hiring managers on how AI is changing the shape of technical and product roles, and helping translate that into hiring strategy and candidate profiles.

• Helping build the high-performing, diverse technical and product teams that drive Wayve’s innovation and business impact as the company scales.

🙌 You should apply if:

• You have 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruitment experience, in a fast-scaling tech startup or scale-up environment.

• You’re a sourcing-driven recruiter at heart. You proactively headhunt and engage candidates rather than waiting for applications to come to you, and you know how to balance sourcing for quality with adding volume into the funnel when the search calls for it.

• You’re highly data-driven, using pipeline data to diagnose bottlenecks, understand what’s working, and course-correct your search when things aren’t converting.

• You act as a true business partner to hiring managers, helping shape and define roles, not just taking orders.

• You’re forward-thinking about AI and how it’s changing roles and ways of working, and can advise hiring managers on how this shows up in the profiles they’re hiring for.

• You have hands-on experience using Ashby to manage your recruitment pipeline.

• Ideally, you’ve worked across both agency and in-house recruitment, giving you a well-rounded view of sourcing and candidate management.

🌱 Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! If you’re passionate about autonomy and keen to learn, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement.

More about Wayve:

🚀 Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving. We are pioneering an end to end AI approach that enables vehicles to learn directly from real world experience, developing the ability to adapt, generalise and improve at scale. Instead of relying on hand coded rules or pre mapped environments, our AI Driver learns to drive by understanding the world around it. The result is technology that navigates complex urban environments with intelligence, precision and natural flow, unlocking meaningful advances in both safety and efficiency. We believe autonomy represents a once in a generation transformation in how people and goods move, comparable to the shift from horses to cars, and from human driven vehicles to intelligent machines.

Our ambition is to make autonomy universal. Wayve’s mapless and hardware agnostic AI platform integrates with global OEM partners, enabling continuous software evolution and unlocking advanced levels of automation from L2 plus through to L4 as our core AI model scales. In a race increasingly defined by intelligence and real world learning, Wayve is taking a distinct approach, building a generalisable driving intelligence that can power any vehicle, anywhere. By combining embodied AI with scalable deployment, we are creating technology that can be shaped to each OEM brand and driver experience, accelerating the transition to a safer, more intelligent future of mobility.

How we work 💻- Locations & Flexible Working:

Our main hubs are in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver and Leonberg. We operate a hybrid working model that combines in-person collaboration in our dedicated office spaces with focused time working remotely. This gives our teams the connection and energy of working together, alongside the flexibility to do their best work in a way that fits their lives.

🔍 The Interview Process:

Our process is clear and respectful of your time:

  • Initial call (45 mins)

  • Competency Interviews (Sourcing; 30 mins)

  • Deep-dive technical interviews (Cross-function; 1.5 hours )

  • Final interview: mission & values alignment (30 mins).

We’ll always explain the format and work around your availability.

What’s in it for you (Location dependant):

💰 Salaries benchmarked against the market annually
✅ Hybrid working, core hours and the chance to work hands on in vehicle workshops and labs
📚 Learning and development budgets with support for training, conferences and growth
🩺 Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, retirement or pension where applicable, access to therapists, wellbeing partnerships, team socials and more

A quick, honest note before you apply.

Wayve is not a mature, fully-structured place with the playbook already written. Much of how we work is still being written, and if you join, you’ll help write it. That suits people who want real ownership more than people who need a settled structure from day one.

If that sounds like the kind of problem you want to spend your time on, we’d really like to hear from you.

At Wayve we're committed to creating a diverse, fair and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives, and regardless of sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, pregnancy or related condition (including breastfeeding) or any other basis as protected by applicable law.

For more information visit Careers at Wayve. To learn more about what drives us, visit Values at Wayve

DISCLAIMER: We will not ask about marriage or pregnancy, care responsibilities or disabilities in any of our job adverts or interviews. However, we do look to capture information about care responsibilities, and disabilities among other diversity information as part of an optional DEI Monitoring form to help us identify areas of improvement in our hiring process and ensure that the process is inclusive and non-discriminatory.

    Principal of backend
    SchemeServe Limited – Chelmsford

    Remote

    About SchemeServe

SchemeServe is insurance software like no other.

Hosted in the cloud for MGAs, brokers and insurers, the SchemeServe platform boasts unique flexibility, unstoppable innovation and truly Obsessive Support.

Started in 2000 by our CEO, Adam, SchemeServe has grown from strength to strength, never having taken outside investment. We're proud of how far we've come and how loyal we've stayed to our Core Values.

We're fully remote (we were doing it before it was fashionable!), although we get together twice a year for Team Retreats.

We prize self-development and encourage everyone to keep learning and challenging themselves. Free books? Mentoring? Professional development? You got it.

We also offer flexible working, paid charity days, a fantastic, relaxed and open company culture and free biscuits through the post.

We genuinely believe this is the best place you could ever work.

If you're excited, good! So are we.

Come and join the Insurtech revolution!

    Principal Backend Engineer

    UK Remote

We're looking for an exceptional Principal Backend Engineer to help make backend engineering across SchemeServe better.

You'll be one of the most technically experienced engineers in the organisation and the CTO's primary technical partner for backend engineering, helping shape our architecture, engineering principles and technical direction.

But this isn't primarily a feature delivery role and your job isn't to personally build everything you help design.

Your real job is to make our engineering organisation better at building great software.

You'll work alongside engineers and teams, helping solve difficult problems, challenging their thinking and developing their technical skills and judgement.

    What We Mean By Principal

This is a deeply technical role.

You'll need the depth to understand complex backend systems, architecture, security, performance, resilience and maintainability; review designs and implementations; spot risks; and challenge experienced engineers.

But technical knowledge alone isn't enough.

We want someone who understands there isn't always one "correct" way to build software.

Patterns, standards and best practices are useful tools. They aren't commandments.

We care about finding the most appropriate solution to the problem in front of us.

That means understanding the problem, business, existing platform, risks and likely future – and making pragmatic decisions based on the trade-offs.

Sometimes the right answer will be a new service or technology.

Sometimes it'll be improving what we already have.

Sometimes the boring solution really is the best solution.

    We're quite comfortable with that.

    How You'll Lead

Success in this role comes through influence rather than authority.

We don't want every difficult technical decision to end with:

"We'd better ask the Principal Engineer."

If an engineer proposes an approach you disagree with, we don't just want you to replace it with your own.

Understand their thinking. Ask questions. Challenge assumptions. Explore the trade-offs. Share your experience.

And be prepared to change your own mind too.

The goal is to leave that engineer better equipped to solve the next problem, not just holding the answer to this one.

Your technical impact should multiply through the people around you.

You'll remain close enough to the code to understand what's actually happening and occasionally roll up your sleeves to prototype, investigate a difficult problem or unblock a team.

But if after a year you've personally written loads of brilliant software while everyone around you is working exactly as they were before, we haven't succeeded.

    The Technical Challenge

Our platform has been evolving for more than 25 years.

At its heart is a mature C# .NET Framework 4.7 monolith, alongside an expanding ecosystem of modern C# .NET 10 and TypeScript services.

    Our backend estate includes:

    • .NET Framework and modern C#/.NET.
    • TypeScript services.
    • Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Redis.
    • Azure cloud infrastructure.
    • Cloudflare platform services.
    • API-first architecture.
    • Git-based development workflows.

We're continuing to modernise, but we're not interested in modernisation for modernisation's sake.

We aren't trying to win an award for having the most fashionable architecture diagram.

We want a secure, reliable and maintainable platform that can support SchemeServe for many years to come – and we want you to help us decide what should evolve and, just as importantly, what doesn't need changing.

    What You'll Do

You'll work closely with our CTO and engineering teams to:

    • Shape our backend engineering strategy, architecture and technical direction.
    • Help engineers make better technical and architectural decisions.
    • Develop sensible engineering principles and guardrails without replacing good judgement with rules.
    • Guide the continued evolution of our monolith and modern service-based platform.
    • Coach and mentor engineers, developing their technical skills and judgement.
    • Review significant designs and architectural decisions and challenge unnecessary complexity.
    • Champion security, quality, testing, observability, resilience and performance.
    • Identify technical risks and help teams navigate them.
    • Evaluate technologies and patterns based on their value to SchemeServe rather than their popularity elsewhere.
    • Balance long-term engineering quality with short-term business needs.
    • Occasionally contribute directly to implementation when that's genuinely the best way to help.
    • Be a generally awesome person.

    What We're Looking For

    You'll need:

    • Deep expertise in modern backend engineering and strong commercial C#/.NET experience.
    • Strong knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems and API design.
    • Experience with mature legacy applications and modern service-oriented architectures.
    • Strong cloud architecture experience, ideally Azure.
    • Excellent understanding of databases, security, testing, maintainability and modern software delivery.
    • Experience shaping engineering principles and practices across teams.
    • A track record of making engineers around you better through mentoring, coaching and technical leadership.
    • The ability to challenge experienced engineers constructively without becoming a gatekeeper.
    • Strong opinions, loosely held – the confidence to challenge and the humility to change your mind.
    • Excellent communication and the ability to influence without relying on authority.
    • Excellent technical judgement, balancing quality, complexity, risk, cost and business value.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who asks:

"What's the right solution for us?"

    rather than:

"What's the way everyone else is doing it?"

    Nice To Have

    • Experience modernising large monolithic applications.
    • Commercial TypeScript backend experience.
    • Cloudflare or edge technology experience.
    • SaaS platforms at scale.
    • Financial services, insurance or another regulated industry.
    • Observability, platform engineering or SRE experience.
    • AI-assisted development and engineering productivity tooling.

You don't need to tick every box.

If you've got the technical depth, judgement and ability to make engineers around you better, we'd rather have a conversation than lose a great candidate because you haven't used one particular technology.

    What Success Looks Like

    Within your first year:

    • Engineers are making stronger technical and architectural decisions with greater confidence.
    • Our engineering principles are understood rather than blindly followed.
    • Technical discussions are constructive, pragmatic and result in clear decisions.
    • Security, reliability, maintainability and performance concerns are identified earlier.
    • We've made sensible progress modernising our platform without adding complexity for complexity's sake.
    • You've made a lasting positive impact on both our software and the people who build it.

Ultimately, we don't want SchemeServe to become dependent on you for every difficult technical decision.

We want SchemeServe to become better at making those decisions because you're here.

    Why Join SchemeServe?

    • Fully remote UK-based role.
    • Twice-yearly company retreats.
    • Flexible working.
    • Dedicated professional development support.
    • Paid charity days.

    Friendly, supportiv...

Engineering Supervisor / Safety Technology Implementation Lead
    Tended – Bromley

Are you an experienced railway professional with knowledge and experience of roles like COSS, ES and PICOP?

You already understand the track and the people who work on it. We're looking for people like you to help put new safety technology into the hands of the workforce - and to be part of a big change in how track workers are kept safe.

At Tended, we create first-of-a-kind safety systems that transform rail worker safety. Our geofencing solution has been named one of TIME's Best Inventions and has made the Digital Leaders 100 list for Geospatial Initiative of the Year. It's already out there on the track, helping to keep people away from the running line and improving on site efficiency.

Network Rail is committed to geofencing for the long term, and the rollout across the Sussex region is already underway. We're looking for an Implementation Lead to help us grow our capability on the ground..

    Tasks

As an Implementation Lead, you're the bridge between Tended and our clients, guiding their teams through helping their teams get comfortable using our kit out on-site.

You'll lead key client deployments on the ground, working closely with Tended's project managers to deliver an excellent service. Success in this role depends on building strong, trusting relationships quickly - so first-class communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Our technology is used by track workers with a wide range of technical confidence. You'll develop a deep understanding of our products so you can coach users through their day-to-day challenges and until they’re confident using it on their own. Being on-site also puts you in a unique position to see how our products are really used - spotting ideas for how we can make it better and feeding improvements back to the team.

You'll need strong knowledge of the rail environment and the roles within it, and you'll either hold a Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification or meet the requirements to obtain one. Above all, we're looking for someone proactive and approachable - person fit matters to us.**

    Travel and working pattern

This is a field-based role centred on regular client site visits across the Sussex region. You'll spend at least 3 days a week in the depot and on site, with the remaining time working remotely or in person with your line manager.

Because our users work shifts, this role covers both nightshifts and dayshifts, and includes weekend and bank holiday working - flexibility to meet the needs of the business and our clients is essential.

In return, we have excellent policies covering travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses, as well as fatigue management and time off in lieu.

A full driving licence is required.

    Requirements

Even if you don’t feel you have all of the requirements listed below, we’d encourage you to apply, as we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow with us.

    Essential

    • You have experience as an ES, ESA, COSS, Site Agent, or in a comparable on-site leadership role within the railway or a related industry.

    • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to influence site teams and users, and turn them into capable users of our product. Experience of working with different roles, from track workers to site managers is desirable.

    • You are comfortable with technology and enthusiastic to develop an in-depth understanding of our products to provide on-site coaching and support to users.

    • You take a detailed approach and consistently follow established processes and procedures with accuracy.

    • You instinctively take initiative to find and fix problems, thinking out of the box to find ways to make things better.

    Desirable

    • You might have practical, hands-on experience of on-the-ground delivery of new technologies, delivering to a range of different kinds of users with different levels of tech-savviness.

    • You might have experience with project management tools.

    • You might have some experience in project management disciplines such as planning, managing risks, dependencies, issues, timelines, budgets, scope, deliverables and quality.

    • You might have some commercial awareness, such as understanding how to demonstrate the value of our work to clients during delivery.

Senior Ecommerce Growth Strategist & Performance Marketer
    INDEZ – Glasgow

    Remote

    Key Information

    • Location: 100% Remote (Must be physically based in the UK)
    • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
    • Work Week: Flexible 35-hour week (Core hours 9am–5pm)
    • Holidays: 38 days of total annual leave (28 days holiday + 9 statutory days + your birthday)
    • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 for 35 hour week (equivalent to £51.4k - £62.8k for 40 hour week)

    About INDEZ

We are INDEZ - a premier Scottish Ecommerce Growth Agency dedicated to scaling ambitious omnichannel B2C and B2B merchants. As a Google Premier Partner and the organisers of the national Ecommerce Scotland conference, we don't just participate in the industry; we help shape it.

We drive growth, revenue, and profit for a select portfolio of 7-figure and 8-figure Omnichannel B2C & B2B merchants. We are a compact, high-performance team, valuing culture and stability over the unsustainable 'venture-backed burnout' mindset.

    Tasks

    The Role

We are looking for a commercially sharp, attention to detail Senior Ecommerce Growth Strategist to own and execute performance marketing strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads. This is a detail-oriented role; you will be digging into hard data, finding root causes (assisted by Claude AI), and directly impacting our clients' bottom lines.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Data-Driven Strategy: Analyse complex data sets to identify growth bottlenecks and commercial opportunities for 7 and 8-figure ecommerce stores.
    • Campaign Architecture: Build, optimise, and scale high-performing campaigns across Paid Search & Paid Social.
    • Commercial Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, communicating performance data clearly and translating technical metrics into business ROI.
    • Managed Channels: Google Ads (80%), Microsoft Ads (10%), Meta Ads (10%)
    • Client Load: You won't be flying solo. You'll be the lead and main point of contact for around 5 of our PPC accounts, working alongside our CTO, a Google Ads Premier Partner with 22+ years in UK ecommerce, who manages the other half of the book. A direct line to one of Scotland's most experienced ecommerce operators, and the room to grow into leading the wider PPC function as we scale.

    The Martech Stack

You will regularly work with (hands-on) and master:

    • Google Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax & Demand Gen)
    • Microsoft Ads (Search, Shopping, PMax)
    • Meta Ads (Prospecting & Retargeting)
    • Advanced Google Analytics (GA4)

    Requirements

    The Essentials (About You)

    • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of commercial ecommerce performance marketing experience. Due to the high stakes of managing budgets for 7 and 8-figure turnover clients and acting as a lead boardroom consultant, this level of extensive, multi-year, hands-on experience is an absolute business requirement.
    • Education: Degree level or equivalent business experience.
    • Certification: Google Ads Certifications are mandatory (live or lapsed are both acceptable).
    • Numerically Strong: You have a strong commercial acumen and high attention to detail. You live in spreadsheets, GA4, ad platform analytics, and you love data storytelling.
    • AI-Augmented Workflow: You are highly comfortable leveraging modern AI tools (e.g. Gemini Pro, Claude Pro/Max or ChatGPT Business) to optimise your daily productivity and output.
    • Communication: Strong presentational and client communication skills are essential.
    • Location & Compliance: Candidates must be physically based in the UK and hold the right to work without restriction.
    • Please note: Candidates progressing to the interview stage will be required to complete a live technical interview (approx 40 mins).

    Benefits

    Why Join INDEZ?

"We care about exceptional results, not hours spent sitting in a chair."

    • Remote Freedom: Work from anywhere in the UK with a team that has mastered remote collaboration.
    • Team Days: Since we're a remote team the only team day that you'll need to attend is the annual Ecommerce Scotland conference in Glasgow. All travel expenses and hotel will be paid for.
    • Work-Life Balance: Flexible 35-hour week (Core hours 9am–5pm) with the genuine flexibility to scale down to a 28-hour (4-day) week to support family life.
    • Exceptional Leave: 38 days of total annual leave (28 days holiday + 9 statutory days + your birthday off).
    • Premium Gear: A dedicated budget for a high-spec work laptop (MacBook, Dell XPS, etc.) after your probation (3 months), plus top-tier noise-cancelling headphones for deep "flow state" work. Capable company laptop will be provided from day one.
    • Cutting-Edge AI Access: Full access to cutting edge LLMs. All staff get access to the latest Gemini models via Google Workspace, plus additional access to Claude Pro/Max.
    • Financial Security: 5% employer pension contribution (66% higher than UK statutory minimum 3%) and comprehensive Life Cover.

Apply today if you're looking for a fully remote position with fantastic benefits.
