Build Conveo's legal function from the ground up, and be the partner our leadership team relies on as we scale.
Conveo is a Y Combinator-backed company in an active growth period. We started this year as a team of ~20 and are on track to reach ~125 people by year end. The people who join now have an outsized chance to shape how this company is built.
We raised a $50M Series A led by DST Global, Balderton, and Visionaries, giving us the fuel to move even faster. We're investing in our product, growing an exceptional team, and taking on bigger challenges as we enter our next stage of growth.
Conveo is the AI research platform enabling fast, affordable, and high-quality consumer and B2B research. Global brands like Unilever, Google, and Orange use our AI video interviewer to generate insights across marketing and product teams.
Traditional research is slow, expensive, and superficial. Running it well requires expertise most teams don't have. That gap affects how well companies understand their customers and how well they can serve them. We're closing it.
As our first Head of Legal, you'll build Conveo's legal function from the ground up. Strategically critical commercial agreements with enterprise clients and reseller partners are coming in, and they require sharp commercial and legal review to protect our revenue lines. You will advise on a broad array of legal topics across commercial, product, IP, employment and corporate matters, with the support of external advisors and tools where appropriate.
This is a partnership role. You'll report to our CFO and work hand in hand with them, with a strong dotted line to our CEO. You'll have full strategic and operational visibility across the organisation and help strike the balance between risk and opportunity. Conveo operates across Europe and the US, so you'll also support our New York team and work across jurisdictions.
You'll lead our legal associate directly and manage our external lawyers. Legal here is both sword and shield for our commercial team. You'll be commercially pragmatic: working with the business, you'll make proportionate risk calls on the deal as a whole, not clause by clause, and you'll be prepared to work at pace. You know that speed and clarity matter, and that sometimes legal rigour is what saves us down the road.
This role is based in our London office, in a hybrid setup (3 days a week in the office expected).
Own our commercial contracts
Review and negotiate our most important client and reseller agreements: MSAs, DPAs, SLAs and order forms, often against enterprise procurement and legal teams
Own supplier contract reviews
Set fallback positions so deals don't stall, and tell the business clearly when to say no
Build templates and playbooks so sales can close standard deals without you
Build the legal function
Set up intake, templates, playbooks and a central contract repository
Decide what is handled in-house and what goes to external counsel, and keep spend in check
Select, brief and manage outside firms across jurisdictions
Lead and develop our legal associate, and grow the team as the company scales
Own corporate, people and IP matters
Keep corporate housekeeping in order across our entities
Work closely with the CFO and corporate counsel on any debt or equity fundraises.
Partner with our People team on employment and equity matters across the UK, Belgium, the US, and any new market we enter
Protect our IP and work with external counsel to protect our brand
Get the company ready for Series B and due diligence
Own the legal side of data privacy and AI
Have a say in how we build and use AI in our product, advising product and engineering to remain compliant with the changing landscape of AI regulation.
Create and own the data protection and AI terms in our client and supplier contracts, including DPAs and subprocessor terms
Develop and help manage our AI Governance across the company.
After 3 months
You fully own the legal function
You've completed a deep-dive risk review of our contracts and processes, covering commercial, employment and terms and conditions, so we know what is in place and what is not
You've put a process in place to step into commercial agreements when needed
You have a handle on every open external counsel matter, and you're leading on our longer-standing legal issues
You've set up a working framework with our People team
You're shaping how legal acts as both sword and shield for our commercial team
Depending on when you join, you've started preparing the company for Series B and due diligence
After 6 months
We contract with clients in a fundamentally better way, through a new contracting process
There's a clear legal intake process across HR, corporate, IP and commercial
You have strong working relationships with sales, product, engineering, finance and People, and everyone knows legal is the place to go for any agreement
Our legal associate works independently and is growing as a legal professional
Our external counsel spend is planned and predictable, with outside advice focused where it adds the most value
You're high agency and low ego, self-directing and startup-native. You stay calm with a long backlog, and you're genuinely interested in AI tools. You'll also bring:
10+ years qualified in any UK or EU jurisdiction, with private practice followed by in-house experience
Experience leading an in-house legal function, ideally as head of legal or GC at a SaaS company, with the creativity and drive to build things from scratch
Deep commercial experience, including IP and liability: MSAs, DPAs, order forms, and negotiating with enterprise procurement and legal teams
A track record of building legal process from scratch: templates, playbooks, intake, a contract repository
Experience running external counsel across several jurisdictions and keeping spend in check
Working knowledge of employment, equity and corporate matters across multi-entity groups, with exposure to the UK, US and Belgium.
Comfort making risk calls and closing imperfect contracts, and giving clear, usable advice to non-lawyers and board-level readers
Fundraising experience on the fund or company side
US legal experience
Experience with data privacy (GDPR) and AI regulation, such as the EU AI Act
Experience with cross-border data transfers between the UK, EU and US
Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle tools and AI-assisted contract review
Build the legal function at a hyper-growth, YC-backed AI company
A true partnership role, working directly with our CFO and CEO
Meaningful equity. We want you to own a piece of what we're building.
Offices in London, Antwerp, and New York. We work best together, so 3 days a week in the office is required.
Regular socials: rooftop drinks, team dinners, run clubs, and more
Twice-yearly off-sites to places worth travelling to: Austria, Las Vegas, and Portugal
Private health coverage with Vitality (incl. dental, vision)
Enhanced employer pension contribution (5% employer, 3% employee contribution)
Refer someone great and earn up to £5,000

The Impact 🌍
Your leadership will directly shape how we build, retain and grow the engineering talent powering our mission. We've now reached 10 million customers and unlocked $2+ billion in credit across five African markets. This role sits right at the centre of the machine that makes that growth possible

You'll be a trusted advisor to our product, design and digital lending leaders, aligning people strategy to product delivery and team evolution, while also owning the people agenda for fraud, workplaces, impact and corporate communications and marketing across multiple markets and operating models. It's a portfolio with unusual variety — succeeding here means switching register comfortably and building credibility with very different kinds of leaders, from a design team to a fraud operations team in the same day.

Build capability in managers: develop the people management standard across your portfolio, from performance conversations to hiring and development
Scale and retain talent: implement approaches to attract, develop and retain product, design and analytics talent in a competitive market

Our Approach

We see this as a role with real ownership from day one, not just a supporting seat
We expect close collaboration with the Lead People Partner for Technology on the shared technology and product agenda
What You Need

Remote and global savvy: experience supporting cross-cultural teams across multiple regions
Analytical and advisory instinct: uses data, influence and judgement to advise leaders on trade-offs and risks
Confident handling employee relations matters across more than one jurisdiction, partnering with an ER Centre of Excellence rather than carrying every case alone (Europe/UK exposure is a plus, not a requirement)

About 9fin
9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion.
Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets.
Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption.
We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide.
Our AI product area is growing. We already have two Product Managers working across conversational AI, agentic workflows, and domain-specific automation, and we need a third to expand our capacity as the scope of AI at 9fin accelerates.
Backed by over $170M in funding (Series C), we are scaling rapidly across product, engineering, and go-to-market. AI is not a bolt-on feature at 9fin; it is the core differentiator for the next phase of the company.
You will join an established AI PM team and take ownership of a product area within our AI surface. This could span new AI-powered features for credit analysts, workflow automation for legal and financial analysis, or expanding our conversational AI into new domains. The team has already built evaluation infrastructure and quality frameworks; you will use and contribute to these rather than build them from scratch.
You will work within our product organization (eight squads across AI, data, and domain verticals) and partner closely with ML engineers, data scientists, domain experts, and designers. This is a high-autonomy role with real scope to shape what 9fin's AI products can do for our clients.
Collaboratively create and champion a clear product vision and strategy for your area, with a focus on building and evolving our AI products
Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into problem statements that identify root causes, not just symptoms
Shape the next generation of agentic AI products: multi-step reasoning workflows, tool orchestration, and autonomous task completion for financial professionals
Demonstrate a working understanding of the challenges specific to building with LLMs, including managing hallucinations, evaluating output quality, and designing for non-deterministic systems
Use confidence-building methods (prototypes, user research, data analysis) to understand how users will interact with AI-powered products before committing to full builds
Use the team's AI evaluation framework (LLM-as-judge protocols, quality thresholds, SME eval cycles) to validate and improve the products you ship
Contribute to the data strategy for your product area: annotation quality, ground truth curation, and feedback loops that improve model performance over time
Proactively identify and track metrics that measure client and business benefit, working with the team on continuous model evaluation and improvement
Create a collaborative environment for your squad, providing wider context and clear goals so everyone can do their best work
Work with data scientists and ML engineers to bridge the gap between business needs and the technical capabilities of AI models
Communicate strategy, initiatives, and progress transparently across the organisation
Translate complex AI concepts, capabilities, and limitations into language that non-technical stakeholders can act on
Champion responsible AI practices: transparency in model outputs, bias monitoring, and compliance with client expectations around AI-generated content
5+ years of product management experience, preferably in FinTech or B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years focused on ML or GenAI products
Working knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation methods (not just "AI concepts" at a high level)
Experience shipping AI products where output quality is probabilistic: you know how to define "good enough" and iterate from there
Comfortable reading Python notebooks and SQL to interrogate model outputs and usage data
Track record of shipping AI products where you managed the tension between ML research/exploration and production delivery constraints
Collaborative leadership style with strong stakeholder management; you build relationships that empower your team to achieve outcomes
User-centric communication skills: you can explain AI capabilities and limitations to clients and internal stakeholders without overselling or underselling
You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are energised by the challenge of building something new
Experience in financial services, legal tech, or data/analytics platforms
Familiarity with credit markets, debt instruments, or regulatory/compliance workflows
Experience with NLP applied to document analysis (contracts, legal filings, financial reports)
Experience with agent orchestration frameworks, tool use patterns, or multi-step AI workflows
9fin is already the leading platform for legal intelligence in debt capital markets. Our proprietary AI capabilities extract and analyse legal language at scale, and our unique dataset of credit legal documentation delivers intelligence that generic AI tools simply cannot match.
Now we are investing to extend that leadership. You will lead a dedicated engineering team to define the next chapter of 9fin's legal product — going deeper on AI, building richer workflows, and expanding into the law firm segment, where we see a significant TAM opportunity that is ours to capture.
Your users sit at the centre of the debt markets ecosystem: origination teams at top investment banks, lawyers at leading law firms, and credit analysts at hedge funds and credit funds.
This is a great opportunity to shape the future of a product and a company that's using technology to revolutionise the trillion-dollar debt capital market.
Strategy: Define and champion the product vision and strategy for the Covenants squad from the ground up, working closely with engineering, our legal analysts, and key customers to establish what to build and why.
Problem definition & structured thinking: Synthesise insights from in-house legal subject matter experts (SMEs), customer interviews, customer feedback and data signals to craft a clear problem statement, articulating the root cause in a structured way.
Discovery: Use a range of techniques to identify and understand what users need and their workflows, across a sophisticated professional audience spanning credit analysts, portfolio managers, restructuring advisors, and law firms.
Impact driven: Align the team around a key outcome and effectively prioritise initiatives across multiple dimensions.
Measuring success: Proactively identify and track metrics to measure client and business benefit. Work with the team to define and manage a process for continuous model evaluation and improvement, with particular attention to the accuracy and reliability standards required in legal contexts.
Team success: Create a collaborative environment for your squad, providing wider context and clear goals so everyone can do their best work.
Communication: Ensure all people involved are aware of the team's strategy, initiatives, and progress. You must be able to effectively communicate complex legal and financial concepts to technical audiences, and similarly communicate technical capabilities to legal and credit professionals.
Influence: Build strong relationships to empower the squad to achieve the desired outcome, often by influencing stakeholders outside of your team.
Stakeholder management: Work closely with stakeholders, including 9fin's legal analysts, credit team to gather the right input and insights. You will need to listen carefully and bring people on a journey.
Own the roadmap for AI-powered legal document extraction and covenant analysis, ensuring outputs meet the precision standards required for professional use.
Partner with software and AI engineering to define evaluation frameworks for AI outputs in legal contexts, where accuracy, source attribution, and explainability are critical to user trust.
Identify opportunities to apply emerging AI capabilities to novel legal workflow problems, from covenant compliance monitoring to cross-document analysis across deal histories.
This role will be a great fit if:
You have a legal or financial markets background, or have built products for this audience. You may have started your career as a lawyer, paralegal, or credit analyst, or you may have been a PM at a legal tech company. You are able to hold a substantive conversation about credit agreements, covenant packages, and how legal language governs capital structures. A sharp PM from an adjacent domain who can demonstrate rapid domain immersion will also be considered.
You are a strategic thinker who thrives with a blank page. You are comfortable defining strategy from scratch, not just executing an existing roadmap. You can synthesise ambiguous inputs into a clear direction and bring a team with you.
You're a collaborative leader. You have an empathetic leadership style and build strong, effective relationships. You love working autonomously but are able to earn the trust of others with a collaborative style. You are great at prioritising, not afraid to say no, and excel at managing stakeholders while also being confident in voicing your own opinions and challenging others.
You've got hands-on experience with AI. You have experience with or a working knowledge of AI and LLMs, including how to evaluate model outputs in production environments. You understand what good looks like when AI is applied to high-stakes, precision-dependent workflows, and you can engage meaningfully with engineering teams on evaluation design and quality standards.
You work in an AI-native way. You use generative AI tools as a natural part of how you work: prototyping ideas, conducting research, reviewing PRDs, and building agents or automated workflows to extend your own productivity. You are comfortable using coding assistants to get things done faster and are genuinely excited about what this shift means for how product work gets done. This is not a nice-to-have. We expect our PMs to be at the frontier of how AI accelerates product development.
You thrive building from zero. You are energised by the opportunity to define something new rather than optimise something established. You move quickly, make decisions with incomplete information, and course-correct based on evidence.
We’re a scaling start up, and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel.
Financial & Insurance
Competitive Salary (our salary bands are benchmarked at the top end of the market)

Motorway is the UK's largest online car-selling platform. We connect private sellers directly with over 8,000 dealers nationwide. Our online platform helps sellers achieve great prices for their cars while giving dealers fast, reliable access to the stock they want for their dealerships. Founded in 2017, our award-winning, technology-led approach has redefined the experience of selling a car. Motorway is backed by some of the world’s leading technology investors, having raised £143 million in Series C funding.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing scale-up at a crucial phase of growth and help change an industry for the better.
Hi, I'm Mariot, I lead Engineering here at Motorway. We're around 70 engineers across product teams, building the marketplace and all services around that handles hundreds of vehicle transactions every day. We care about delivering value to the business, getting the architecture engineering sound, keeping the production bar high, and being early and deliberate about the technology we adopt.
We have been early adopters of GenAI for software engineering, we've built a reputation for that, and we'd like to keep earning it. AI is enabling us to deliver faster at a much higher quality software while easing the maintenance of our existing services.
We're looking for a Principal Engineer to set technical direction and evolve engineering practices across Motorway, reporting to the Director of Engineering. This is a broad role: your remit spans multiple product areas and every engineering specialties, and your decisions will shape what we build, what we buy, and what we retire.
You'll work with engineering leadership, product, and other functions stakeholders to continuously evolve our overall architecture and practices, and with our senior and staff engineers to turn that direction into working software.
You will own our relationships with AWS on the engineering side, our main cloud provider. It's the foundation of our platform and one of our most important partnerships. In practice, we expect you to lead the following activities:
Frequently meet AWS representatives getting access to latest services and features, share feedback on our usage and needs, and be an early tester and adopter of new services/
Identify new services we could adopt to continuously improve our reliability and ability to build new services and features at pace for the business.
Share internally good practices on software engineering at the edge and usage of AWS services, including continuously updating technical recommendations for humans and agents.
You'll represent Motorway on stage at external events and in the wider engineering community, and you'll set the standard for how engineers here present their work internally.
You'll also lead on our adoption of AI for software engineering. We give engineers access to the latest models through Kiro, and we want someone who can define what good looks like when domain depth, AI-enabled breadth, and rigorous evaluation all have to work together.
Set technical strategy across multiple product areas, and make the commercial case for it to leadership with data rather than assertion
Identify cross-cutting architectural risks and resolve them before they block us at scale
Set engineering standards, architectural patterns, and documentation norms, including the writing precision that makes specs reliable inputs for both engineers and agent systems
Raise the reliability, observability, and security bar across engineering: SLO philosophy, incident management standards, production readiness, and threat models that hold up in the AI era
Be a force of innovation on AI for Software Engineering.: Monitor our LLM usage, latest models trial and evaluation, technical debt modernisation through AI agents.
Develop staff engineers and technical leads, multiplying leadership capacity across the organisation
Own the AWS relationship on the engineering side: architecture reviews with their solution architects, early access programmes, and the calls on which services we adopt, when, and at what cost
Speak for Motorway in public, at AWS summits, conferences and meetups, and raise the bar internally for how engineers present their work to each other and to the business
Ten years or more in software engineering, with several of those spent operating at Staff or Principal level
A track record of setting technical direction across several teams or product areas, where your decisions changed company outcomes
Exceptional AWS expertise, both wide and deep. You've designed, operated and paid the bill for serverless, containers, networking, identity and data services at production scale, and you can hold your own in a room of AWS solution architects
The judgement to evaluate new platforms and services against structured technical and commercial criteria, and to say no to the ones that don't earn their place
Strong grounding in API and identity architecture: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, PKCE, JWT, and IAM patterns across multiple accounts
Experience setting observability and reliability standards, and running incident practice that teams take seriously
Comfort across the stack: you can read or write code in most languages, and follow a request from the browser through to the data layer
A record of developing senior engineers into technical leaders, and of raising the hiring bar in your discipline
Practical experience building with LLMs and agents in production, including how you evaluate them and keep their output trustworthy
A strong public speaker with a track record to show us. You've presented at conferences, summits or large internal forums, and you can make a technical argument land with a room of engineers or a room of executives
Writing that holds up under scrutiny: specs, architecture decision records, and strategy documents that others can act on without a meeting
You create clarity in situations where no obvious technical path exists
You challenge the status quo with evidence and worked alternatives, and you have the patience to bring people with you
You argue for the simplest architecture that meets the requirement, because you've lived with the long-term cost of the alternative
You carry a pattern library of production failures and over-engineered systems, and you use it to stop others repeating expensive mistakes
You want the stage rather than tolerate it, and you're as comfortable in a keynote slot as you are in a Monday morning team demo
You enjoy making the engineers around you better, whether that's mentoring, review, or helping someone prepare their first public talk
You stay curious about new tools and honest about which ones are worth adopting
Great work-life balance
London office location with regular social events, office drinks and free snacks to keep you going
Hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week in our Central London office
Stock options so you can share in Motorway's growth and future success
Pension scheme to plan for your future with our provider NEST
Strong commitment to your personal development including budget for books, courses, conferences, etc
Opt-in comprehensive health insurance through BUPA including dental care and fitness discounts
Cycle to work scheme, save big ££ on a new bike and accessories
One paid volunteering day a year for you to use as you wish
Generous parental benefits including 6 months full paid maternity leave, 4 weeks paternity leave and workplace nursery scheme... and much more!

GenAI Engineering sits within Motorway's Data and AI function, alongside Machine Learning and the Machine Learning Data Platform. We own the AI features that shape how buyers and sellers experience the marketplace, from agentic workflows in the customer journey to LLM-powered tooling for our dealer network.
What we build goes into the hands of real sellers and thousands of verified dealers, usually within weeks. When it works, someone sells their car more easily. When it doesn't, we hear about it. That feedback loop is short, and it shapes how we work. We have a track record of successful deployments and a strong reputation as a result.
We're looking for a Senior GenAI Engineer to build AI applications and agentic workflows for Motorway, taking them from rapid prototype through to production-grade systems that deliver measurable value.
You'll take a problem that isn't fully defined yet and see it through to a reliable system running in production: the prompting, the retrieval, the agent design, the evals, the guardrails, the monitoring. You own that whole stack. There's no separate team who "productionises" your work later.
Most of what makes a GenAI feature good sits around the model rather than in it. The prompting is rarely the hard part. Retrieval quality is, and so is the data feeding it, evaluation you can trust, sensible behaviour when things fail, and getting it live and keeping it there. If that's the work you want to do, we're not precious about the route you took to get here. Some of us came through data science and machine learning and deliberately built up our software engineering; others came the other way.
Own AI features end to end, from an ambiguous problem through to a reliable, observable system that real customers depend on.
Build the retrieval and data foundations these features stand on, and treat retrieval quality as a first-class engineering problem rather than a tuning exercise.
Design evaluation and monitoring approaches that make quality, reliability and safety measurable rather than assumed.
Build AI applications and agents using LLMs, orchestration, APIs and data systems, applying solid production software practices throughout.
Make the calls on models, cost and latency that shape what a feature costs us to run, and document the reasoning so others can follow it.
Prototype quickly, work out what is reusable, and harden the patterns that work into components the rest of the team adopts.
Raise the quality of the work around you through code review, design feedback and the standards you set by example.
Represent your technical decisions directly to product managers and stakeholders, translating model behaviour into business consequence.
You've shipped AI or ML systems that real users depend on, and you've stayed close enough to production to know how they behave when they break.
Strong Python, and SQL you genuinely use. A lot of this work is data work: assembling grounding data, building golden datasets, and digging into why something failed.
You've invested deliberately in your software engineering craft: testing, error handling, CI/CD, observability, and the MLOps practices that keep things healthy once they're live.
You're hands-on across the GenAI stack: LLM APIs, retrieval and vector stores, agents with tool use, and structured outputs, running on cloud infrastructure (we use AWS and GCP).
You have a real point of view on evaluation, most likely because you've been caught out by a system that looked fine and wasn't.
You can reason about how models fail, including hallucination and prompt injection, and what that means for someone who trusts the output.
You know when to reach for a model, when something simpler will do, and when to stop.
You're a constructive reviewer, and colleagues are better off for having worked alongside you.
You're curious about how things actually work, and you follow that curiosity past the first plausible answer.
You're drawn to problems where the right approach isn't obvious yet.
You're honest about the limits of what you know and pull people in early rather than late.
You take responsibility for what you ship, watch how it behaves, and fix it when it breaks.
You get satisfaction from the unglamorous work that makes an AI feature actually good, not just the part that demos well.
You can disagree well, and commit once a decision is made.
We've got your back, in life's biggest moments and the everyday ones too.

What we build goes into the hands of real sellers and thousands of verified dealers, usually within weeks. When it works, someone sells their car more easily. When it doesn't, we hear about it. That feedback loop is short, and it shapes how we work. We have a track record of successful deployments and a strong reputation as a result.
Over the next two years the function scales from shipping AI features to running a serious GenAI platform.
We're looking for a Lead GenAI Engineer to set the technical standard for AI work across the function, and to build the hardest parts of it themselves.
You'll own the architecture and standards for complex, product-facing GenAI work. You'll hold sign-off on the systems that carry real risk, and you'll be the person a squad comes to when they've hit something genuinely hard. This is a player-coach role: your own code sets the bar others refer back to, and you'll spend as much energy making senior engineers better as you do building.
Most of what makes a GenAI feature good sits around the model rather than in it. The prompting is rarely the hard part. Retrieval quality is, and so is the data feeding it, evaluation you can trust, sensible behaviour when things fail, and getting it live and keeping it there. The standards that matter most here are the ones that make that work repeatable across teams. We're not precious about the route you took to this kind of engineering.
Set the architecture standard for complex GenAI work across the function, not by mandate but by building things others learn from and want to adopt.
Hold sign-off on materially complex AI systems, catching architectural, safety and reliability problems before they reach production.
Own the shared foundations that determine feature quality across teams: retrieval patterns, evaluation infrastructure, data pipelines, and the tooling that makes good practice the easy path.
Build the hardest pieces of work directly, acting as the technical escalation point for the function's toughest problems.
Design for systems that stay up and stay affordable, covering graceful degradation, fallback behaviour, and cost and latency at production scale.
Develop the senior engineers around you by handing them harder problems, room to own decisions, and honest feedback.
Shape how we hire and review, bringing a clear and defensible view of what good looks like.
Bring specific, actionable industry insight into planning, explaining what a development means for our architecture rather than noting that the field moves fast.
You've set technical direction that other engineering teams actually adopted, and you can talk about where that worked and where it didn't.
Strong Python, and SQL you genuinely use. A lot of this work is data work: grounding data, golden datasets, and understanding why something failed.
Deep, current expertise across the GenAI stack, including retrieval at scale, vector stores, agentic orchestration, multimodal work, evaluation infrastructure and fine-tuning where it earns its place.
You're fluent in the layer underneath: MLOps tooling, deployment and cloud infrastructure (we run on AWS and GCP), and you can tell the difference between a choice that matters and one that doesn't.
You design systems that survive contact with production, and you've been on the hook when they didn't.
A strong point of view on evaluation, including the difference between evals that catch regressions and evals that provide comfort.
Your direct contributions set a quality bar for the people around you.
You explain hard technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders without either condescending or losing the substance.
Self-awareness about where your knowledge runs out, and the instinct to bring in expertise early.
You build with taste, preferring simple systems that work over clever ones that nearly do.
You use authority sparingly. You're not a blocker, but you'll stop a bad decision from shipping.
You get satisfaction from the unglamorous work that makes AI features actually good, not just the part that demos well.
You enjoy making other engineers better as much as building things yourself.
You've levelled people up in a way they'd recognise, whether through a talk, a review, or how you work day to day.
You hold a two-to-three-year view without losing touch with what's shipping this month.
We've got your back, in life's biggest moments and the everyday ones too.

Great journeys start with Trainline 🚄
We’re Europe’s leading independent rail platform, helping millions of travellers find and book the best-value rail and coach journeys across our app, website and partner channels.
Our job is to make the green travel choice the best choice. By building a better train travel experience, we help more people choose rail - creating a positive impact for customers, our business and the planet.
We’re a team of more than 1,000 Trainliners from over 50 nationalities, working across London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Edinburgh and Madrid. Now is a brilliant time to join us and help shape the future of travel.
Introducing the Marketing Team 👋
Trainline’s Marketing team is where brand strategy meets real commercial impact. We shape how millions of customers across Europe see, feel, and connect with Trainline - from the insight that informs our positioning to the creative that shows up in every campaign, channel, and customer touchpoint. We believe that a distinctive, well-managed brand is one of the most powerful commercial levers we have, and this team is responsible for making that case, and making it count.
As Interim Brand Manager, you will be the guardian and builder of the Trainline brand in your market - sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution. Reporting to the Head of Brand and Campaigns, you will work closely with Country Managers, agency partners, and cross-functional teams across commercial, product, and insight to ensure the brand shows up consistently and compellingly, wherever customers encounter us. This is a role for someone who can hold the thread from customer insight through to positioning, creative, and campaign delivery, without losing sight of the commercial outcomes that matter.
In this role as the Interim Brand Manager, you will...🚄
Own the brand marketing plan for your market end to end, translating customer insight into a sharp, differentiated proposition that is consistently expressed across every campaign and channel
Lead the relationship with creative agencies, including briefing, reviewing, and constructively challenging work to ensure it meets a high standard of brand, proposition, and audience relevance
Use brand tracking, customer research, and market data to shape positioning decisions and measure the impact of brand investment on commercial outcomes
Partner with Country Managers and commercial stakeholders as a peer, bringing brand-led opportunities and ideas to the table rather than waiting to be briefed
Protect consistency of tone, identity, and customer experience across markets while adapting intelligently to local culture, seasonal patterns, and competitive context
Run a tight campaign operation, managing timelines, dependencies, and quality across all brand activity so nothing falls through the cracks
Stay close to customer perception and competitor positioning in your market, using that knowledge to sharpen messaging and identify opportunities for the brand to earn greater relevance
Champion the value of a strong brand internally, connecting creative investment to commercial performance in a way that resonates with stakeholders who think commercially
We’d love to hear from you if you have...🔍
Significant experience in a brand or marketing role that has spanned both strategic responsibility and hands-on campaign execution, ideally within a consumer brand, travel, platform, or e-commerce business
A proven track record of owning brand marketing plans for a specific market or segment, including positioning, messaging, and brand health measurement
Strong experience working with creative agencies - briefing confidently, reviewing critically, and pushing back on work to a high standard when needed
The ability to connect brand investment to commercial outcomes, with a solid understanding of business models and the levers that drive growth
Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with commercial, product, and senior stakeholders, operating as a genuine peer rather than a support function
Proficiency in the language of your market, with a strong understanding of local culture and competitive landscape - ideally including fluency in the relevant language
Experience using brand tracking, customer research, and market data to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate impact
Creatively literate and opinionated about what good looks like, with the communication skills to articulate clearly why something is or is not working in terms of brand, proposition, and audience

We're operating a hybrid model and ask that Trainliners work from the office a minimum of 60% of their time over a 12-week period. We also have a 28-day Work from Abroad policy.
Our values represent the things that matter most to us and what we live and breathe everyday, in everything we do:

You'll use customer insights, experimentation and analytical techniques to uncover new opportunities, influence product strategy and create meaningful value for both our customers and Trainline.
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for influencing product and business outcomes, have the autonomy to make things happen and must obsess about having business impact. More specifically you will:
Own data science work from start to finish within an embedded product team, from shaping the right question with your colleagues to delivering a solution and measuring its impact
Explore customer behaviour and product usage to uncover areas of friction, spot new opportunities and estimate the benefit of acting on them
Contribute to simple, seamless customer journeys by identifying where we can remove barriers and add value
Design, run and analyse experiments using sound statistical methods, and help define metrics
Build, test and improve models such as forecasting, personalisation or customer behaviour prediction that enhance the customer experience and support business growth
Turn your findings into clear, practical recommendations that help shape product and monetisation strategy, tailoring your message for both technical and non-technical audiences
We'd love to hear from you if you have... 🔍
Hands-on experience applying data science to real product or customer problems, ideally within an embedded or cross-functional team
Confidence using Python and SQL to explore large datasets of customer activity, build models and write efficient, readable code

The ability to explain complex ideas simply and adapt how you communicate for different audiences
Ideally, an interest in monetisation, advertising, recommendations or e-commerce, and familiarity with tools such as dbt, Looker or Tableau, although none of these are essential

About Us
Since 2003, Luzern eCommerce has been helping leading global brands grow their online business. We partner with brands including Panasonic, Reebok, Stokke, KIKO, Next, Twining's, Canon, Bondi Sands and Philips, helping them accelerate growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences across major marketplaces including Amazon and Zalando, branded webstores and social platforms.
Backed by significant investment, Luzern is an international, technology-led eCommerce business with anambitious growth strategy. Our AI-enabled Channel Optimizer platform, combined with our eCommerce expertise, helps brands manage and grow their presence across increasingly complex digital channels.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we are looking for talented people who enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to play an active role in the next stage of Luzern's development.
The Senior eCommerce Content Strategist owns content strategy and execution across Amazon and the wider commerce ecosystem for Luzern's enterprise brand clients. Amazon is the primary focus — listings, A+/Premium A+ Content, Brand Store and related content — but the role is deliberately platform-agnostic in outlook, extending strategy and content guidance to other marketplaces, retailer sites (e.g. Tesco, Zalando,Otto) and D2C.
The role is audit-led: content strategy is built from a structured read of customer and platform signals — reviews, search terms, AI-generated summaries, and the queries customers put to AI assistants and platform agents — combined with a quality assessment of current content (using a framework such as IDQ or equivalent) against Best-in-Class competitors and audience requirements. Strategy, messaging and content requirements follow from that evidence base, rather than from assumption.
A defining part of the role is thinking beyond traditional platform search: strategies must consider how content needs to be structured and prepared to be discovered and surfaced by generative AI assistants (e.g ChatGPT) and in-platform shopping agents (e.g. Amazon's Rufus), alongside conventional marketplace and retailer search algorithms.
The role sits as the senior content specialist within a small delivery pod, working alongside an SEO Executive and Designers. It carries direct client-facing responsibility: estimating, briefing, managing feedback and contributing to proposals and is responsible for reviewing the pod's output before it reaches the client. It does not carry resourcing, project management or formal line management responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
Content Audits & Quality Assessment
● Signal analysis: analyse customer reviews, search terms, AI-generated summaries, and the queries customers and AI agents put to platforms (e.g. Rufus prompts), to understand what content needs to do and where current content falls short.
● Quality benchmarking — review current platform content and score it against a content quality framework (e.g. IDQ or equivalent), benchmarking against Best-in-Class competitors and audience requirements.
● Findings to action — translate audit findings into a clear, prioritised view of content requirements that feeds directly into strategy.
Content Strategy Development
● Amazon content ownership- develop and own content strategy and execution for listings, A+/Premium A+ Content, Brand Store and related Amazon content, as the role's primary focus.
● Cross-platform extension — extend strategy and content recommendations to other marketplaces, retailer sites (e.g. Tesco, Zalando, Otto) and D2C storefronts, adapting to each platform's content rules, algorithm and customer behaviour.
● Strategic framework - from audit findings, develop comms objectives, key messages and a messaging hierarchy for each client or category.
● Content requirements - define the content requirements, imagery and copy needed to deliverthe strategy, and the frameworks/guidelines the team and client can act on.
● Wireframes & mock-ups - develop A+ and Brand Store wireframes and mock-ups in collaborationwith the Designer, turning strategy into an executable creative direction.
AI & Agentic Discoverability
● AI-ready content — build content strategies that account for how product and brand content is read, ranked and surfaced by generative AI assistants (e.g. ChatGPT) and in-platform shopping agents (e.g Rufus), alongside traditional search.
● Point of view — keep Luzern's thinking on AI/agentic discoverability current, and translate emerging platform and LLM behaviour into practical, sellable content recommendations.
● Alignment with SEO — partner with the SEO Executive so keyword and search strategy and content structure are aligned across traditional and AI-mediated discovery.
Testing & Performance Monitoring
● A/B testing — recommend and run A/B tests (e.g. on A+ Content, Brand Store, imagery and messaging) to determine the most effective executional approach, rather than relying on opinion or precedent.
● Monitoring set-up - set up monitoring using Compass (or equivalent) to measure content effectiveness and implementation.
● Reporting on impact — track and report on content performance against strategy objectives, feeding learnings back into future audits and strategy.
Creative Briefing & Review
● Strategic foundation - develop the strategy and messaging that underpins paid social, display and
marketplace advertising content.
● Creative briefs - write and own briefs for Designers producing static and video ad assets, translating strategy into clear creative direction.
● Creative review - review creative output against the brief, brand guidelines and platform requirements before client delivery.
Client Management
● Client-facing delivery - present content strategy, recommendations and audit findings directly to client stakeholders.
● Estimates & scoping - prepare estimates and scopes of work for content workstreams.
● Briefs — shape and write content and creative briefs in response to client requirements.
● Feedback management — manage client feedback through to resolution, balancing client expectations against strategy and platform best practice.
● Proposals — contribute to and help prepare proposals and pitch content for new and existing client business.
Quality & Output Review
● Senior review — review the SEO Executive's and Designers' work before it is sent to the client, checking it against strategy, brand guidelines and platform requirements.
● Direction — give feedback and direction to keep output consistent and on-strategy.
AI-Enabled Working
● AI as a working method — use AI tools proficiently for content and competitive audits, for generating recommendations, and for producing or accelerating creative and written content — not only as a subject of strategy.
● Continuous improvement — identify and recommend where AI tools can improve the speed or quality of content production and audit work across the team.
What You Bring to the Role
● Proven experience in Amazon content strategy and execution (listings, A+/Premium A+ Content, Brand Store, Amazon Posts), ideally within an agency or managed services environment.
● Working knowledge of content requirements across at least one other marketplace or major retailer platform (e.g. Tesco, Zalando, Otto) and D2C.
● Experience running content audits — analysing reviews, search terms, AI-generated summaries and customer/AI-agent queries — and scoring content quality (e.g. IDQ or equivalent) against best-in-Class standards.
● Experience translating audit findings into content strategy: comms objectives, key messaging, messaging hierarchy, and content requirements for imagery and copy.
● Experience developing or briefing A+ and Brand Store wireframes and mock-ups, working closely with designers.
● Experience designing and running A/B tests to determine the most effective executional approach, and setting up performance monitoring (e.g. Amazon Compass or equivalent) to track results.
● Strong understanding of how AI assistants and platform shopping agents (e.g. ChatGPT, Rufus)surface and rank product content, and how content should be structured to support this.
● Confident, credible client-facing communicator — comfortable presenting strategy, leading feedback conversations, and owning estimates and proposals.
● Experience briefing creative teams for paid social/display advertising, across both static and video formats.
● Demonstrable, hands-on use of AI tools for research, auditing and content production, not just familiarity in principle.
● Strong copywriting and content editing skills, with a close eye for brand and platform compliance.
● Comfortable reviewing and giving constructive feedback on the work of SEO and design peers.
Desirable
● Experience across multiple international marketplaces or retail media platforms.
● Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, to collaborate effectively with the SEO Executive.
● Experience contributing to new business pitches or proposals.
● Category experience relevant to Luzern's enterprise brand client base.
What We Offer
● Competitive salary and benefits
● Hybrid Working Model
● Great working environment with a passionate, collaborative team
● Continuous learning & career development
● The opportunity to work with some of the world's leading brands across the most exciting marketplaces
We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates. If you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.

You live and breathe creator marketing. You understand how it really works today, and you're hungry to shape where it goes next. As a Manager in Influencer Marketing at Pulse, you'll have every opportunity to succeed, both operationally and as a team leader. You'll independently run our campaigns from concept to execution to reporting: turning a client brief into an original creative idea, casting the right creators to bring it to life, and proving the impact with data. We love what we do and are constantly evolving. Do you have the right drive? Then start a new chapter of your career with us.
You independently manage medium-scale creator campaigns end to end: brief, creative concept, casting and execution
You match and source creators across global markets (North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, US) based on brand, audience and cultural fit, not just reach
You stay ahead of platforms, formats and creator economy trends, turning that fluency into fresh ideas clients haven't seen before
You negotiate rates and contract terms confidently, and work comfortably with margin, communicating it to clients when needed
You collaborate with Strategy and internal teams while managing client and partner communication for seamless delivery
You analyze performance, prepare reporting and proactively flag upsell opportunities
You bring a "second set of eyes" to campaigns and concepts, catching cultural, legal or exclusivity issues early, and drive creative thinking that pushes Pulse's business forward
You have at least 3 years of experience in the social media field, including a minimum of 2 years in influencer marketing
You have a deep, current understanding of how creator marketing works today, including platforms, formats and cultural shifts, plus sharp instincts for which creators fit which brief
You have a proven creative muscle, coming up with original campaign concepts and knowing how to pair them with the right creators to make them land
You are data driven and confident with budget responsibility, comfortable negotiating rates and working with margin and CPM, ROI and KPIs are second nature to you
You're experienced with creator marketing tools such as CreatorIQ, Captiv8 or Tribe and comfortable managing these alongside manual campaign sheet work
You have a solid understanding of AI, its opportunities and its challenges, and actively think about how it's shaping the industry
You thrive at a fast pace, comfortable spinning many plates while staying sharp on detail, both creatively and analytically
You are a true team player with a strong hands-on mentality, a positive attitude and the ability to motivate your team
Time to pack your bags for Paris, London, Milan, Hamburg or Berlin: you’re welcome to work abroad from any of our office locations
We love to see you grow: our careers coach is on hand for one-to-one coaching sessions and team workshops
We work hard and play hard, bringing our global team together to collaborate, learn from one another and celebrate our successes
Don’t fancy the office today? Our hybrid remote policy lets you work from home two days a week
Keep your commute to a minimum: you’ll find all our offices right in the city centre
For motivational high-paws and comforting cuddles, your four-legged friend is absolutely welcome at our offices
